The Present

Motion City Soundtrack has a song called the future freaks me out. The future doesn’t freak me out but instead it’s the present. My dad is going to list our building on Vine st with a realtor. This means that we will be getting offers on our building which he eventually will sell. Once sold, then we have to move the business to another location, which effects where I decide to live next year. Also, I booked a flight to Tampa to see a Metal Roofing show for a couple of days next week. An owner of another company is looking to partner with us and help him distribute his own line of tools. He has so many ideas, and me not being a roofer, it’s hard to know which ones are going to be successful and which to ditch. Furthermore, I just had to tell our box making guy that his competitor is 700 dollars cheaper and I don’t think it’s fair to reward him with the business even if he is willing to meet their prices. My solder supply is out and I’m looking at a new source but after I experimented with it it left a green residue which makes me believe it’s an inferior product most likely imported. The German could possibly be getting our hammer from another source and his price has gotten out of control so we are considering our options. A competitor has come out with a lower price ripper so we have to decide if we want to come up with a new design to compete or leave it as is. We are out of stock on 150-B’s which sucks because it’s going to be a while to get them in and customers are gonna start freaking out. I need to open up a new roth because I didn’t like the way my financial adviser set up my current roth so I quit him and decided to do it myself. This is all on top of the fact that I blew my poker roll last night by drinking 8 beers and donking away 300 bucks by playing 115 hu sngs and 60 turbos, so I feel like a schmuck. I got holdem manager and every thing set up so I had high hopes going into it but my drunk self put a set back on my plan. My credit card bill this month is gradually growing to the point that I’m scared to look. I sold some of my stock because I’m freaked out that things are going to get haywire. I feel like I’ve stepped into Willy Wonka’s anti gravity room and there’s a cluster fuck of bullshit surrounding me. I’m sorry I didn’t put paragraphs but it’s a symbol for how I feel. This is how haggard I look.

Gambling

Bets I made and lost and how I’m doing for the season.
For the season I’m down 60 dollars as of today. That’s 3 weeks of gambling to only be down 50 bucks. I was pretty good this weekend picking Temple, Iowa, Wisc, SF, NO (thank you Evan) but lost Oregon St (nice bake…) Indy and Carolina (sorry for picking against you Evan, we’ll see if I learned my lesson). My new strategy is to just pick the game mindlessly without even thinking about it. I just look at the teams and think whose going to win. I’m honestly ecstatic that I’ve only lost 20 dollars a week betting on sports.

I’ve been playing a lot of poker as well. I’m in for about 450 bucks in the past 60 days and I have about 225 in my account. This is obviously not good but I’m positive that it will turn and when it does it will turn fast. I don’t even want to begin to explain what happens in some of these tournaments. The game is really fucking with me because I don’t lose on the flop. The game takes me to the turn or river and ends me with cards that just defy odds. I’ve been running about 20 tourny’s a day and I’m just waiting for my time because I feel like I’m playing good.

My posts are obviously going to start changing now that the winter is coming upon us. I’ll still do my tv posts with Curb, Dexter, Californication, and Entourage but I also will be gambling and drinking more and running less. I haven’t exercised in 9 days which is when the distance run ended and I will start up again but it won’t be my main focus. I’ll just stay in shape rather than try to be good at anything in particular. The winter is depressing, long and cold and I don’t like it.

Evan thought Sesame street aired in 1997 and I uncoil a slinky to 3.75 feet.

Wedding Weekend

My childhood friend (and still friend) Bud Schmidt had his wedding this weekend. He appointed me a groomsman and gave me responsibilities like walking his Mom down the aisle to commence the wedding, ushering guests, and lighting candles. Of course I’d rather do nothing but was happy to follow any directions I was given. Watching the forever wedding entrance on Youtube makes me sick to my stomach thinking that people would go to all the trouble to put on a performance like that. The worst singled out moment was entering the reception with a dance move. The bridesmaid and I settled on a spin move instead of the somersault that I was lobbying for. Everything went off without a hitch and I’m sure the couple will be live happily ever after (I know that’s for fairy-tales but it seems appropriate)

I wanted to devote a paragraph to the Schmidt Family and just to write that the Schmidt’s are probably the nicest people I know. They’ve known me for my whole life and have never treated wrong in any way. They didn’t get mad at me when I popped the unpoppable ball with the clue knife. Bill used to scream THOMAS CHARLES whenever I made an error in the field, but he did it because he just wanted me to be as good as I could be. They liked me when I was growing up as an innocent child and they still like me even now when I’m a corrupted, alcoholic, degenerate gambler. Just yesterday, Bill took me out to play golf at one of the nicest country clubs in the area for practically nothing. With his caddying help of reading the greens I was able to shoot a 97 (without it I would have been 110+). This family gets my utmost respect for being the most genuine people I know and I’m sure with the addition of the Hodge family they will continue to be at the top of my list. (I don’t really have a list but you get the phrase)

Some Thoughts

Distance run photos.

– When people are on the phone and they say goodbye they make this mmmmmmmm sound before they say bye. They’ll be like “ok let me know how that turns out, mmmmmmbye.” If you read this and are like what the fuck is he talking about, I swear the people in work environments do this all the time, probably not so much with your friends. Listen for it.

– Here are some key phrases I use on the phone that you can use but when you use them it has to come in your mind that I told you about them. “Sounds good” is a go to phrase when you agree with someone. “Not a problem” is a good one when people ask you to do something.  “Will do” if someone wants you do something.

– People call me  a lot at work trying to sell me stuff.  I like interjecting when people are going through their spiel. Whenever I feel like the other person is rambling or has run out of things to say I think it’s a good time to interrupt with something hopefully to get the conversation back on track. For example, some bro was trying to sell me on his low credit card processing rates and he kept on telling me how good his service was when in reality all I want to know is what his rates are so I can compare them to what I’m paying currently. Spare me all the ladi da bullshit and give me the facts. People in sales do too much talking. Just tell me why I want your product and back it up with facts and let me make the decision.

– We have been playing this game called Wits and Wagers where the game asks questions and you have to get closest without going over and then you bet on the answers. I just want to give some examples of some of our classic answers. This is not meant to call out anyone but some are too funny not to share. How tall was the tallest Giraffe? Chad believes that the tallest giraffe was 110 feet tall. There are 10 storied building giraffes walking around huh? Evan believes that America bought the Louisiana Purchase from France for 17 dollars. (The answer was 6.5 million FYI.) I thought that 29 million people rode Amtrak daily, apparently only 65,000 do putting me off by a cool 28.9+ million. This is a pretty good game and I’ll share any other answers too good not to share.

– Not to fly off topic but whenever guys (i’m assuming this is universal) take a piss there is always these drops that last forever when you get 95% done. My friend once told me that if you shake more than twice it can be considered beating off. I’m not sure what it meant but I live by it. When you wear jeans it’s not a problem because if a drop or two gets on the jeans no one can tell. But when you have khakis on and you reel it in too early and droplets drip on the front of your pants you look like a schmag who doesn’t know how to take a piss. Also if you ever start your piss and it comes out in two streams. One will hit like the far left of the water and the other will shoot 90 degrees onto some place it shouldn’t. Then you have to push as hard as you can to try to align them. I think the Elaine comment “how do guys walk around with those things” is fitting.

TV

I’ve watched 2 shows that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. First one being Community on network TV. Generally network TV sucks, this show was no different. The main character sucked, Chevy Chase wasn’t funny, the foreign guy was forced stereotype retard, and the rest of the cast was no better. I didn’t think there was a funny part in it and won’t be tuning in again. This show follows the office and that is another show I just don’t get. Everyone raves how funny it is and maybe if you’re in an office atmosphere for a job it’s funny, but to me it just seems painfully dull. Does Michael have brain damage or something? I’ve seen a couple of episodes and I know his character is supposed to come off as dopey but I just can’t laugh at the stupidity. I laugh more at the way Kevin looks and talks than the things he says. Everyone thinks Dwight is hilarious but I think he’s mentally retarded. Jim is a smug a-hole who I just want to punch in the face. The girls on the show are all blah. I feel like everyone is overacting. I just really don’t get it. True, I’ve only seen a handful of episodes and maybe haven’t given it a chance but it just doesn’t make me laugh. Given the fact that so many people say it’s the best show I’m going to watch some episodes on Hulu but if I still think it sucks I’ll write about it.

Don’t watch bored to death on HBO because the title is telling. Jason Schwartzman is boring and Ted Danson has seen better days. I may watch episode 2 just to see what happens but I wasn’t amused at all throughout the pilot. What I can’t understand is how people who produce this stuff think its good. If I was working for HBO and watched that past episode, I’d be embarrassed to show it to the public. It wasn’t funny or gripping and the main character sucked. I’m probably hard on a lot of pilots but it’s for good reason. When I watched Californication for the first time 2 years ago I came out of the pilot saying 1) they showed me a nun giving out a BJ 2) they showed me Mia’s boobs 3) and the main character has charisma and is watchable. I gave the show a chance and it turned out to be one of the best shows on TV. I have no problem giving a show a chance but the first episode has to be entertaining or else I’ll move on.

I watched the curb and entourage as well. Regarding Curb, sometimes I think they play out Larry’s rants about weird stuff too long but its still amusing. I didn’t really think the first episode was all that great but I’m sure the season will be good. Leon being an 82 man is hilarious considering they are in LA. I always heard black people like the heat but 82 tips the scale. Entourage was pretty good for a change. I like the Ari-Lloyd feud and hopefully Ashley will say goodbye. I don’t know about anyone else but I have no interest in Turtle or anything that goes on with his character. I hope Jamie moves to New Zealand so Turtles character can stop being such a puss. I still think the season has been weak but at least this week was entertaining.

If I could find out to put this in the smallest font I would. I watched the first couple episodes of glee and the show isn’t bad. Putting all the gayness aside considering its about glee club, the show is well done. They have good character development. The cheerleading coach combined with the principal make for a hilarious duo. The dancing and singing stuff isn’t the reason why I watch the show but it’s still performed well. I won’t review this show due to its homo tendencies and it’s completely on the opposite end of the spectrum of what I usually watch but I’m honest about what I think and this show should probably not be canned.

Distance Run

I was going to write a pre race post and a post race but forgot to so this is just the post race. I finished right around 1:20 clock time and I’ll probably be about 10 seconds under that. It was about 40 seconds slower than last year so I’m a bit disappointed. I went out way to fast and pretty much died towards the end. My 10 mile time was under 60 so I was on a nice pace but just didn’t have the legs. My feet started to bother me at around the 10 mark so I had to run the last 3 miles flat footed which wasn’t ideal but not too bad. All in all it was fine but I wish I could have at least beat last years time. I weighed myself at 175 which I think is a fine regular weight but I should probably be about 170 if I’m going be at my best running weight. I’m probably going to take some time off for a while as my running season is now over.

We played softball on Saturday and it was the first time playing any organized baseball in 10 years. We ended up losing and I definitely played like a tard. I stranded 2 men on with a pathetic dribbler to the pitcher with 2 outs and almost hit into a triple play when the bases were loaded and no outs. Plus, I let a ball go through my legs on a play I should have made and dropped a ball at first. Other than that though… It’s moderately fun and no one takes it too seriously (I think) so it is what it is.

I sacrificed this weekend for the race, meaning I didn’t have a sip of alcohol all weekend which is a rarity. I pretty much just stayed in and played poker and bet on games. I hit a nice parlay with texas tech and the under and now I’m rolling it all on the NFL today. I have a slew of parlays and bets that I don’t feel like posting. Basically, I’m down 40 bucks on the season with 110 dollars in play today.

2 posts in 1 day Orly?

What spurred this post on was that I googled the title of my blog expecting mine to be at the top of the search and after noticing I wasn’t at the top, I decided to read my competition. Even the most boring people on the planet would be bored reading these blogs. I honestly can’t believe 2 things about what I read. First that people could be so boring and second that people have the wherewithall to blog about how boring they are. I know when I’m writing dud entries. This is a dud entry but how my blog hasn’t risen to the top of the information superhighway is beyond me. I show you pictures of Stacy Kiebler with yarn up her ass crack. I give my first class personal opinions of how to do things and what things are good. If I endorse it, there must be something good about it. Thank me later for this gem. I don’t claim to be the best or right all the time but I have an opinion on what is right, wrong, good and bad and am happy to share with anyone who cares.

I actually wanted to take this time to write what I thought about the 2nd season of True Blood because it’s one of the best shows on TV. Andy and Jason are probably one of the best duos in a series. Jason started the season like a fag but finished like a champ. I don’t want to butcher any of the lines but when him and Andy were talking at the bar how they were hero’s, yet neither knew how it happened, I just thought it was good comedy between two well played characters. The Hoyt-Jessica thing was sort of annoying and I’m not going to miss Eggs. Sam killing Maryanne by turning into a bull was sort of weird. If he can turn into anything and kill her why didn’t he just do it earlier. Seems like it would be tough for Maryanne to battle a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Her crazy psycho powers probably wouldn’t have effected him that much as a dinosaur. The vampire Bill and Sookie thing is starting to get old. They played it off like Eric took Bill in the last scene but we’ll see. I sort of thought the latter part of the season was a let down but it still held my interest. I would like to see a better bad guy in the next one. Maybe some breed that starts owning the vamps. All in all I still think it’s a good show and will watch again. Can’t say the same for Entourage which is just really stretching for material. Dexter and Californication start soon.

New Yahoo & Various Others

Dear New Yahoo,

Please don’t insta move me to your search engine when I want to type in a URL. I know you think that this is a useful feature moving me directly to the search engine, but when I use you as my homepage, I know you aren’t google. I don’t go to yahoo to search. If I want to search I know I have the option. I like to be updated with news and have the ability to click in my url bar and go directly to a website without you thinking that I want to use your search feature. I honestly can’t figure out why people have google as their home page. It’s just a search box. It’s like saying, don’t keep me informed with up to date content, I’d rather do it on my own and be difficult. I actually own yahoo stock and their fantasy sports are the best so I may be partial but this site to me is the obvious home page.

In fantasy sports I went 2-2 this weekend. However I beat Hafer in a game that came down wire and destroyed the Wagon in my two wins. I lost in my ESPN one by 1 point and got blown out in the other one by someone with the eagles D. None of my players got injured so I’m expecting big things next week.

This is one of my few sober weekends coming up because of the distance run. I’m fine with it and can actually use the break. I don’t think I’m in the best possible shape but I should still be close to 6 minute miles. I’ll get a long run in today and then start to tone it down till Sunday although tomorrow will be another hard day.

This is a paragraph to Jordan Cohen. (In TeddyKGB voice) I’ll write in my blog vhenever zee fack I vant. If I don’t have anything to write about then I want. I don’t sit in front of the computer forcing myself to entertain your retarded ass. When I think of things to write about I do. OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD I SAID BACON AND EGGS!

And to leave on a good note. I can’t remember if I put Stacy Kiebler at the top of my hottest girls list but I came across a picture that really solidifies her position. I honestly don’t even think there is an argument anymore. Think of the StepBrother guy who does the POW! when you see this. stacy-keibler-thongs (341 x 533)

Friday 9/11

This will be a good place to keep track of my sports bets to display to myself and anyone else who cares how much of degen I am.
1 bet -$20

I really hate the Steelers. Everything about their fans bothers me. They are on top of the world today because they won a game against a team with a pathetic offense. If I didn’t hex my fantasy kicker Bironas by drafting him, the Titans win that game. Not to mention Hines Ward screwed me over by fumbling at the 5 to cost me the parlay I made. I should have put my betting strategy into play where I reverse pick whoever I think is going to win. I was so sure the Shitty Steelers were going to win by more than 6 that I overruled myself. I only put 100 in my bodog account so I will try to be a little more subdued than usual. However if I wake up drunk on a weekend the possibilities are endless. If anyone ever wants to shoot me some locks, go for it.

On another note, I only drank like 10 beers last night and woke up feeling a bit dehydrated but not that bad. How I drank last night is how I should drink on weekends. I don’t do anything stupid. I can still enjoy myself and it doesn’t cost me 10 bucks per double. I don’t think I would be having as much fun but at least I remember what happened.

I literally have nothing going on right now so don’t expect much from this blog for a while. I should be getting some long runs in because the distance run is Sundays but I did about 8 miles yesterday and felt fine so I think I should be in good shape after a week of not really running hard. Sorry this is boring but my brain is on cruise control.

Micro

My last post was a big picture post. This one will go into detail of random thoughts that pop in my head on a day to day basis. My last few posts are in no way going to be as entertaining as this but I feel like you have to throw some real thoughts in a blog from time to time. A final thought before I go on, if you read my last post, you’d know that I moved into my next 4 span time frame and in this stage you stop giving a fuck what people think about you. So if you read this and think “what is wrong with this clown.” I don’t give a fuck.

My shits have been kind of wimpy lately and I wasn’t sure why. I haven’t exercised in 4 days which is way longer than I usually go. The reason why is because I practiced softball on Monday and that literally put me down for 2 days due to an aching body (I’m a puss but I’m serious). So I’ve been eating junk food and not working out so I’d figure I’d be moving some monsters from my intestines. So today I’m thinking, this has got to change. So I sit on the throne and put both hands under my thighs and start pulling (arms) upward with as much force as possible. With this patented method and a full on force out, I created an explosion. I almost always double flush anyway but this required one. I’m so scared of letting the toilet get clogged that I’ll even triple flush if I have to. It’s not the shit so much that clogs it but the paper, so if you ever start to get worried you’ve wiped too much, double flush without thinking twice. And a random thought about shitting, never shit in someone elses house unless you desparately need to because the worst possible scenario always does.

Someone told me that they always wear boxer briefs and never boxers. I will only wear boxers. My mom probably bought me tighty whities when I was little but once I found boxers I’ve never gone back. I don’t need my nuts attached to my leg. This can’t be good for your package being confined and without oxygen for hours on end. The only time I ever wore briefs was when I had to run track and had to wear short shorts. Only retards would wear boxers with short shorts. I do however freeball in running shorts and as long as there is lining, I have no problems. I think it feels uncomfortable at first but once you start running it’s fine. Since I’m on the topic of my johnson, I’m not scared to bic my balls. People have a fear of a razor touching their sac. I have not once cut myself and the thought of having long hairs descending from my boys grosses me out. It ends up like Dave Chapelle said, “smooth as eggs.” I’d be scared shitless to take an electric razor down there though. One mistake and you could potentially wipe out the one eyed monster. Why am I telling you this? Because like I said, I don’t give a fuck and here’s an opinion of a man from white suburbia on the how to maintain yourself properly.

On another note, I really hate when someone starts conversation with Hi! How are you? and then the fucking idiot replies, Hi! How are you! This is not a fucking response to the question. When someone asks how you are, you say “I’m fucking awful, leave me alone.” Everyone always replys, “Oh i’m good.” So boring and generic. When people ask me I’m going to blow their minds and tell them I just had a ball removed and I shat blood, how do you think I am? Most people are phonies in conversation anyway and probably won’t even be listening.

My final rant will be on people who wear headphones everywhere they go. It’s like they need to be trapped in their own little world where no one can interfere. I’ll go in the store and some douche will have headphones in. What if I want to tell him to move out of my way and he’s happy go lucky jamming to his shitty DMB tunes (this type typically will go with the headphones constantly). If your exercising, I’m fine with listening to music to help pass the time. Personally I think it’s for pussies because it blocks out the pain and focus that comes along with really exercising. The more I think about it after writing what i just wrote, it doesn’t really bother me that much but if it’s preventing you from hearing things around you like cars and people, than most likely its not the time or place. My general rule, if you can sit down, rock out. If you are moving or driving, not the time.

Stillers minus the points and the under in a parlay.

This song has been getting some play for a few weeks now and I think it’s pretty good.
