Black Rhino is a Pussy
This is a neat video of a man getting too close to a black rhino. A black rhino weighs upwards of a ton and has a horn on its head that can get up to 4 feet long. The obvious thought is that encountering one of these beasts in the wild would lead to death. Amazingly in this video the man scares it away by clapping. While this stand off was taking place I could only think of one thing, why doesn’t the camera man have a gun for situations like these? It seems to obvious that you’d have some sort of precaution in situations like these especially because YOU ARE INVITING THEM. If the guy in the jeep just fires a shot this situation ends and his friend doesn’t have to worry about a horn up his ass. And what’s the deal with the rhino? It clearly shows it has no logical thought whatsoever.
The American Dream – You Have To Be Asleep To Believe It
George Carlin told it how it is and I couldn’t agree more. Sadly, with my limited experience, other places on this globe are way worse off. I feel the way that George Carlin feels but I also fall into the category that I”m stupid enough to be content with everything. Am I supposed to start a crusade against big business? Join the Occupy Wall Street protest? The rich get richer and the poor keep taking it up the ass. That’s how it works and it won’t change during our lifetime. How can you possibly justify a CEO of a company making 25 million dollars? How does Victor Cruz complain that he should be paid more than his 41 million dollars over 4 years? He’s not even the guy making the big bucks?! The owners and company’s involved are the people making the money. It is an unfair world we live in where work doesn’t equate to a standardized wage. There is no equality whatsoever in America yet that’s what our country preaches. Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining.
Jerry Seinfeld and the Delivery
Start at 1:06:30 and listen for about a minute and a half. This is Jerry Seinfeld at his finest. This video may be removed and I’ve linked the radio spot as well below.
The way Jerry talks about his work should show everyone what it takes to rise to that next level. The meticulous nature of how he cares so much as how to the word sounds during the delivery. He is probably unbelievably anal about what word he chooses, how he pronounces it, the pause between, and “the 100 steps” that make the joke work. This interview got me to start using the thesaurus more often when I’m writing these posts. It got me to understand how important every aspect of the trade needs to be nailed down to be the best quality and Jerry is one of the all time greats. I also like how Jerry doesn’t always agree with Howard because it makes him more genuine.
A few quick hits –
6:30 – “The worst part of comedy is getting comfortable.”
16:11 – “The Louie CK model should be the model for comedians. Not telling the executives what he was going to do.”
21:38 – “I like how their hanging in there with the chop sticks. They’ve seen the fork.”
22:19 – “I’m never not looking for material.”
28:50 – “If your a comedian and you’re playing golf, you’re going nowhere in this business.”
31:55 – “The blessing in life is finding the torture you are comfortable with.”
34:45 – “If you’re a little lucky in life, you should enjoy getting older.”
39:35 – “You can get any moron to talk about themselves, and you’ll find some weird thing about them that’s kind of interesting.”
44:53 – “Jay Leno was THE BEST stand up comic.” Howard hates Jay Leno.
50:35 – “Pop tarts can’t go stale because they are never fresh.”
53:10 – On another season of Seinfeld – “The love affair between the people making the show and the audience was so intense, it was so white hot, I had to respect that and I could not go to that point where it starts to age and wither. And it doesn’t take long… I wanted it to end with a firework burst of it that never was bad.”
55:30 – “I have a sense of timing.”
1:10:15 – “You’re worth 800 million dollars.” “Can I dispute that, please? Way off.”
1:24:40 – “I have never been in it for the money.”
This is Seinfeld’s new project, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
Listen to the part on the radio here.
This Is The End – Who did this to the magazine?
Thanks to the Weens and the Wevs for introducing me to this. How they use their last names is what kills me. Plus Seth Rogen saying nothing throughout is great. “Dropping loads around the house like a goddamn dump truck.”
Dog Scared of Farts
Taken from Barstool but funny nonetheless.

Changing Education Paradigms
Wonderful video. My mind wasn’t mature enough to understand a video like this until now and it excites me to watch other videos from the group. These types of explanations can strike you different ways, at different times in your life. I may have agreed with the video 5 years ago (I’m aware it was made in 2010 but it’s a hypothetical point) but now I comprehend and see where the teacher is coming from and what direction he sees would be an improvement. The idea of conformity and teaching EVERYONE a specific way probably is not the best method in 2013. Everyone is unique and can grow and develop different ways. I’ve always been somewhat of an in the box thinker and I believe the education process teaches that. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve dismissed the ideas of conformity and doing what people expect, and have started to use my brain to make life happen the way I want it to happen. Breaking out of “the way it should be” mentality is necessary to do something that fulfills you. The biggest change for me now though is the empowering feeling I get from watching a video like this. 10 million people watched this video but how many of them will make an impact? The key difference between the 1% and everyone else is action and doing. Everyone can watch and nod their heads, but doing something about it is a completely different ballgame. This obviously doesn’t apply to just this video and education, but life as a whole.
I thought the young kids and attention drugs was spot on too. “Medication” is such a joke in this world and doctors profiting from prescribing drugs is the real motive behind this epidemic. I also thought the divergent thinking segment was fascinating when you think that kindergarten children are better at this than adults. I use a paper clip as an ear wax remover…
Optical Illusion
Two things that go along with this video that makes it post worthy. The first is that I caught it on David Blaine’s twitter feed which isn’t half bad. The video itself is pretty trippy and brings me back to the one time I did shrooms. Yes, it was about 10 years ago and never forget that drugs are bad mmmmmkay!. That’s besides the point because one thing that I love about youtube and is highly underrated is the comments. The first comment in this video is “Bit dangerous isn’t it? I nearly crashed my car at 1:35.” The comment is unbelievably hilarious because there is no doubt in my mind idiots would try something like this while driving. I’ve honestly stopped texting and driving completely because I watched some numbers show on National Geographic that said you are 23x more likely to get in a an accident while texting. That was actually enough of a reason to stop for me. Enjoy the video.
