It’s 3pm and I feel like I’m just getting the day started. I woke up this morning and set up the new monitor I bought yesterday. So I’m hungover and just getting frustrated with the simplest things like how to screw in the stand and getting the monitor level. I eventually got it right but the process was way to time consuming. (There’s a too and to dilemma) I bought the monitor specifically so I could play more poker tables and I’m very impressed with the quality for the price. I had a 24 inch Samsung that broke for some unknown reason that I got 2 or so years ago and this new Samsung 23″. I spent $450 or so 2 years ago and this one was only $300. It handles 9 tables no problem and I’ll experiment with 12.
My weekend was pretty usual. Drank a few beers, played a few games, went to Mad River. The people at Mad River treat us very nice and why would I want to go somewhere where everyone doesn’t know my name (cheers). Pat and John have my back, Lauren and Lindsay hook up the drinks, I just enjoy getting bombed there. Lauren must seriously think I’m a huge alcoholic because she makes the drinks so damn strong. I had to go to a bartender to add more coke to the drink she made me.
I’m going to go to the gym now. I’m considering placing a bet on the Superbowl but only if I go out to watch it. I think I like the Packers minus the points but I wouldn’t be surprised if the underdog covers in a lot of Superbowls. It’s such a dumb name for the the biggest game of the year. The Super Bowl. I guess it’s just one of those things that the simpler the better. At least there is no advertising in the name.
Did you ever notice that the best superheros are all the simplest names. Batman, Superman (again the best is “super), Spiderman. So if were going to create a superhero I wouldn’t stray from what has proven to be the way to create the most popular superhero. Something like “shitman” would be way better than “the poop”. It just proves again and again that simpler is better. People are stupid. We don’t want complex things.
I’m going to the gym.
