Rafi and Dirty Randy

Last night’s episode of the League, Rafi and Dirty Randy, was both good and bad. They took two of my favorite characters and made them the focal point of the entire episode. This was definitely one of their weirder episodes but that’s not to say that it wasn’t entertaining, it was just overbearing. These are two characters who are better in small doses. They are there to provide comic relief to the more normal cast by being weird and making outrageous comments. A storyline devoted to them felt kind of unrealistic and for lack of a better word, dumb. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the never ending string of Rafi’s hot dogs was hilarious and the driving montage was classic Rafi and Randy at their best. The plot was pointless which I think is my biggest gripe. It’s neat to have an episode dedicated to them but there’s no substance which I think is important for a show to be considered good. Anyone else feel this way?

This critic definitely hit the nail on the head with this comment, ““Rafi And Dirty Randy” definitely felt like a backdoor pilot pitch to FXX. As much as I loved this episode, I’m not sure I could watch something like this every week.”
