It’s not a coincidence that 300+ women didn’t come out publicly against Weinstein when they had their encounters with him. They were scared because he’s a billionaire and they’re a no-name actress, the risk-reward doesn’t make sense. But when people come out in numbers, it makes the nay-sayers believe. That’s the only way the culture will actually change in Hollywood (or any other major industry where this is a problem).

Sure there are cases where the line is blurred like Sandler. If 100 actresses came out and said “Adam Sandler touched my knee” the backlash wouldn’t be significant I don’t think. But clearly with cases like Weinstein, Spacey, etc. that’s way, way over the line.
