I disagree with your assessment. He was trying to avoid mediocrity, which in the NBA can be very difficult overcome. Sadly in order to be really good you have to be really bad ie Golden State and OKC. Give it a couple years and you may think differently as long as the new bozo’s in charge don’t mess it up.

While I’m not convinced he would be the right person from here on out (and he very well could’ve been), I have no problem with what was done to get the team to this point. It’s not guaranteed to work out, but neither was the alternative. They at least have lots of options on how to move forward and build long-term success.

I disrespectfully disagree with all that is in this post with the exception of all quoted Sam Hinkie material. You have many posts about being just above average in many of your “positions” or endeavours in life….maybe Hinkie is doing some thinkie and out foxing the crowd
