Hey Tom, I know this is almost 2 years old but I ran across this question and would love to answer it. I had the same problem. The main problem with using one towel to wipe your face after you've wiped down equipment is you increase your chance of catching a staff infection. I developed one several years ago and the doctor said I most likely caught it from the gym. I've been way more careful since. I would like to share with you a new product called the Swowel. Website is www.Swowel.com. It was designed for running but can be used in the gym. So you can use a gym towel to wipe down the nasty equipment and the Swowel for your face. Since its wearable it never comes in contact with equipment. Just a suggestion. Thanks and good luck.
