Thanks for posting this. I am curious to see what your readers response is to this video/topic.

I certainly agree with objections to the misuse of school environments, etc. that she speaks of. And I don’t believe in threatening the life of another for exercising free speech – no matter what medium.

I suppose what bothers me about her perspective (not her voicing of it) is its utter lack of sensitivity, perspective and compassion. She seems to speak from an entirely ego-centric perspective. As easy as it would be for a fellow student to step outside to speak on their phone, she could relocate her studying momentarily. Her room seems pretty quiet – if she is able to shoot this video there.

I am a bit biased though. I have many friends in Japan and others with family there. Beyond the natural disaster the country is facing a potential Chernobyl. I would think that trumps finals week? Especially for someone entering into a Political Science profession.
