I agree with Sam on the context and misinterpretation point….”the right the Bear Arms”!?

Hell yeah if I killed a bear I would definitely have the rights to its arms. Hell I would have the right to its head!

But realistically, we don’t see bears around the cities nowadays. The urbanization of this country has pushed the bears into the wild and has since been preserving their arms (and heads). I for one think the south just got confused and has been for 225 years.

On a more hilarious note, if you have not watched Jim Jefferies bit on gun control, do yourself a favor for the next 10-15 mintues.

I am always intrigued by the argument that “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”. As objects, the guns are faultless until a user activates them to create harm. But, if you gave anyone on this list a knife, it is doubtful they would be able to kill 27 people, or even themselves. If you replace the knife with a potato, the death rate plummets.

A general consumer – through certain channels – can purchase a military grade rifle which can literally split a human body in half from a mile away. If people claim that they need this kind of weaponry for hunting, they are terrible at it and shouldn’t be allowed to hunt.

Chris Rock probably had the best suggestion for curbing gun violence years ago. Instead of removing guns from the landscape, just charge $1,000 per bullet. People would really have to consider how badly they want to shoot.

My simple stance on guns – no civilian should have them at all, ever. The intent of the second amendment doesn’t really apply in today’s world, it’s taken out of context at this point.

The complicated stance – It’s not as easy as “turn in all the guns” and viola, problem solved, and I understand that.

There’s no easy answer. But my view is the closer we can move towards no guns, the better.
