Sorry you got sick Tom I don’t think it was the taps at Fireside that got you sick because it was almost 48 hours after you guys were there and what very you consumed would be out of your system by then. You would be hurting the next day if they did not clean their taps. Just my opinion

Would you respect Fireside more or less for coming clean about this? A few scenarios from their perspective:

1) Evidence is not strong enough, no need to respond.
2) Hear murmurs from partrons and decide to fix the problem without saying anything.
3) Actually apologize publicly for what I would guess was a dirty tap spreading bacteria to its customers.

I personally feel that confirming their malfeasance is necessary. At the very least to me through Facebook. Instead I’m giving them bad PR for a episode that I’m only about 64% certain.

I think it’s interesting from their side because all the business is local. Local word of mouth is one of their best forms of advertising. I actually have eaten there for years and have always liked it so I 100% believe it was an unexpected mistake.

Why would Fireside respond? If what you’re suggesting is true, then most likely they would have a bunch of sick patrons who possibly haven’t pieced this caper together. They want the issue to die, not to confirm malfeasance.
