Thanks for commenting NIkkii.. It’s funny because I too starting comparing running races to golfing. One difference, I get nothing from golf except 10 lost balls and a headache instead of endorphins running through my body. What I was trying to convey, poorly I might add, is that races are getting more popular and with more demand, higher prices to pay. I have another idea for a post that I’ll unveil in a day or too that deals with the progression of races.

I personally love the Tex Mex: weeknight summer run, beer or margarita, a real meal, nice shirts, and (most importantly) the Tex Mex had the best spectator support by far. Yes, it is expensive but so is a round of daytime golf on a nice course. There are a handful of good local summer 5ks, and you get what you pay for. If you’re running just for the race, than this isn’t the best 5k for you. If you’re running for the experience, this race is the best.
