					<description><![CDATA[The danger with evaluation of visits/hits/etc. through sites like Twitter and Facebook and the #tag is that those numbers don&#039;t represent an interest in original content. It is kind of like if your ex-girlfriend/boyfriend texts you out of the blue. You weren&#039;t expecting &quot;attention&quot; from there - but hey. It&#039;s odd, confusing and probably a bit misdirected. 

I may be biased because I don&#039;t use Twitter - personally or professionally - but I imagine the # is similar to that scenario. The concept can work tremendously well - but I am always confused by its ability to actually filter information. If one were to #fridaynight - I imagine the scrolling involved would be useless and simply a mass of content - neither digestible or necessary.
